Resumen: |
The Man Who Was Thursday begins in Edwardian London, where a young man named Gabriel Syme finds himself approached by an agent of Scotland Yard. Promptly recruited by the police, who are attempting to infiltrate and subvert anarchist groups, the young Syme is pointed in the direction of a suspected anarchist named Gregory. Naturally versed in literature, Syme debates the man and wins access to his shadowy group - a council of European anarchists.
Syme's adventures bring him to France, where unravelling the identity of each man within the council becomes the paramount aim. The thrilling crescendo of tension occurs as each member of the group is dramatically unmasked. |
